Hello! I am the UX Researcher for Journeys, and we are in the process of building a loyalty customer panel. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had advice on building a loyalty customer panel (or any customer panel) and how they conducted a competitive analysis of other companies’ customer panels. Thanks in advance!

Hello!

There are a couple of ways to build a loyalty customer panel in our platform (to test with, I’m assuming?).
They are:

  • generate a link that you then personally email out to customers you know and wish to add
  • Screen for loyal customers through our contributor panel. When you screen, you’ll have to decide for yourself how you define “loyal.” It might be number of times they shop at Journeys within a year?

So, a screener question sequence could look like this:

What activities have you done twice or more in the last 3 months?

  • played sports
  • shopped online and/or in person daccept]
  • cooked meals
  • read a book
  • played a musical instrument
  • none of the above

What items have you shopped for twice or more in the last 3 months, online or in person?

  • groceries
  • electronics
  • musical equipment
  • books or magazines
  • clothing, shoes, accessories oaccept]

What items have you purchased twice or more in the last 3 months, online or in person?

  • shoes accept]
  • shirts
  • pants
  • jewelry

What brands have you purchased from twice or more in the last 3 months?

  • Skechers
  • DSW shoe warehouse
  • Journeys eaccept]
  • Naturalizers

Hope this helps!
